Creative Dance: Ages 4-6 - 1030300

Creative Dance introduces young movers ages 4-6 to dance fundamentals in a fun, creative environment. Students will build coordination, rhythm, and confidence while encouraging self-expression and creativity. ‘Tiny Tot Hip Hop’ introduces the body isolations and beats of Hip Hop dance. ‘Little Movers’ is a basic movement class incorporating games, skill building, and popular dances. ‘Pre-Ballet’ gives students a strong foundation in ballet fundamentals as well as developing a strong sense of dramatic expression. Each session introduces new material, so any section of Creative Dance may be repeated as many times as desired. NO CLASS 11/4, 11/11. Registration for Fall classes starts Monday, August 18 at 10:00am for Norfolk residents (August 25 for non-residents). Classes are marked Unavailable until registration begins.

Attire for Creative Dance: Pre-Ballet Girls-Leotard, optional tights/leggings. Pink or skin-toned ballet slippers. Boys-Fitted tee shirt, bike shorts/leggings/or boys tights, black ballet slippers. Long hair pulled off your face and neck. No baggy or oversized warmups. Please do not wear ballet slippers outside of the studio. Instructor: Melanie Ortt.
